You can set up keyboard shortcuts for Compiz with the Advanced Desktop Effects Settings dialog (aka ccsm on the command line). In Hardy Compiz stores the shortcuts in the same gconf location as Metacity, so the regular Keyboard Shortcuts dialog works. You can ask Compiz to store its settings in plain-text files instead of in gconf, and then you’ll have to configure shortcuts separately.

I have seen 1st bug many times but didn’t get time to report it. 3rd is already reported. Can’t comment about 2nd and 4th.

The new theme looks good.

The new shutdown menu is pretty ugly. Is there a reason why it got changed?
And sound is terrible on my NVidia HDA, laggy as hell, I can’t play MP3s if something else is running, let alone Lossless.

And I miss the realtime kernel for ubuntustudio as well.

There needs to be alot of work on making the task-bar adjustable, else people will feel let down and restricted by this manager. Example the panel in kde 3.9.5 lets you do so much, like multi-height, multi-intersections, moveable widgets, etc. I’ll upgrade when they add more ability to the task bar!

I had compiz enabled previously, and they worked. That’s what’s confusing me

Keyboard-shortcuts do not work with compiz on, disabling compiz “fixes” this.

Personally, I think the new shutdown menu is a downgrade.
