how many of those users signed up, made one post and have never been back? 900,000? i know that i am one. i made 6 posts when i signed up in 2005. i received 0 replies, went somewhere else to solve my ubuntu problems and have never been back. 1 mil, not that impressive since only a handful are probably still using it.
