I think I'll end up taking it back to Currys and complaining, I only had the laptop for ~6 months, which means it's still under warranty :)

I'm somewhat confused about this because it's only very recently I've started to see them on store shelves, if anybody can shed some light on this it'd be much appreciated ;)
